Week 1: Lewdo Posts Lewd Numbers

Numbers have been run through the games on Saturday, April 13.

Week 1 Summary: Team pages, Standings, Player Leaders, and Transactions have all been updated through the end of Week 1. The average Lazy team put up 530.2 points during the week. The mean scores for pitchers was 35.4 while batters scored at a 35.3 clip. Nice balance. We are now over 70% of Lazyman teams with payment submitted. Thank you!

Lewdo (Rhonert Park, CA) got out of the gates in 2024 by topping the charts with 616 points, causing all the rest of us to be quite jealous. Lewdo was paced by Mookie Betts (78), Spencer Steer (56), Shane Bieber (54), Tyler Glasnow (49), Bobby Witt (44), and Maikel Garcia (40). Things weren’t all smelling like roses as Lewdo lost Bieber and Spencer Strider to injuries forcing a couple of early season trades. Lew – great start!

Tanner’s Minions (Bel Aire, CA) sits in second place by tallying 607 points, and the Minions don’t have Mookie on the roster. All five starting pitchers scored 40 or more points – Bieber, Tanner Houck (51), Glasnow, Garrett Crotchett (48), and Frankie Montas (41). Tyler O’Neill (53), Jarren Duran (45), and Seiya Suzuki (42) paced the hitting attack. Rich – very nice start!

Earning the bronze in Week 1 is Downtown Dachshunds (Seattle, WA) with 586 points. Betts, Steer, Glasnow, and Grayson Rodriguez (47) led the charge. Jacob – well done!

Beef and Broccoli (Cleveland, OH), Flop House Gas (Orinda, CA), and the Milk Duds (Everett, WA) round out the top six teams heading into Week 2.
